We were friends with Joy and Howard from the early days in Sibbald. We got to know them better during our years living in Winnipeg. Howard was always easy to talk with and we enjoyed our more recent visits at the Sibbald homecomings.Our heartfelt condolences to all the family.

Our sincere condolences to family and friends on Howard's recent passing. Howard was a man who loved life, loved people, especially loved softball, and someone who you just couldn't help but love in return. He always brought a sense of calm to any situation with his warm laugh and gentle demeanor. We have many fond memories of time with Howard; whether on the diamond, engaging in "extra inning banter", or through many other activities at Roadhaven. To all of us who knew Howard, take comfort in knowing that, just as he "championed the game of life", he has now been "called up to the Major League" where he will be enshrined forever in the "Hall of Memories". Our sincere condolences to Howard's family and to Kay. We have known Howard for more than 20 years. Boris played softball with him. This winter Boris and Howard were discussing how hard the players on this year's team could hit the ball. I said I could not recall any player from our era who could hit that hard. Howard said he knew of one --"Howard Ferguson". How true! Howard loved PEROGIES. Boris cooked a pot of perogies with lots of fried onions, butter, bacon bits , topped with sour cream and of course a bottle (not a glass) of SCOTCH. Dinner lasted 2 hours. Then went to set up chairs at the hall. Best set up ever! We will both miss Howard very much. Marilyn and Boris

I first met Howard when I decided to come out of retirement and play Senior Softball at Roadhaven in AZ. Howard was one of the managers and was always very encouraging and positive. He had a great sense of humor and will be sorely missed.

I was involved with Howard as part of the Roadhaven Softball Club in Phoenix for many years. He was passionate about Softball in Phoenix and always willing to help on the Diamond and in the Park for Softball Functions. I'm proud to say Howard was a Great Friend on and off the Ball Field. I know he will be missed by all of our Club Members.

Dave played ball with Howard in Arizona and we worked with Howard and Joy on the Roadhaven dance committee, always a fun guy , loved to dance and escort the ladies to their tables.
