Obituary of Ronald (Ron) Dale Ray

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather Ronald Dale Ray on Monday, July 29, 2024, in the Hanna Hospital, at the age of 70 years.

Ron was born in Beaverlodge, Alberta on Dec 1, 1953, to parents Alexander and Thelma Ray. Ray attended all his school years in Beaverlodge. After high school, Ron apprenticed and achieved his heavy-duty mechanic license. He worked as a heavy-duty mechanic for Proctor and Gamble Cellulose and R. Angus in Grand Prairie.

In 1974, Ron married Doreen Brown and they were blessed with their children. In 1987 they moved to Hanna. Ron worked for Special Areas for thirty-nine years and at the Coal Mine for two years.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Doreen of 49 years, sons: Rory (Jenilee) Ray and Darby (Melissa) Ray and their children: Maddison, Bennett, Avery and Nash; brothers: Larry Ray and Griffith Ray, sisters: Tanyss Tews and Alexis Grimson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Alex and Thelma Ray and infant daughter Dallas.

No memorial service will be held at this time.
