He was a long time Elks member for 43 ½ years. He also belonged to the Solon and Garden Plains community.
Emil loved his grandchildren and enjoyed them so much when they came to visit. He was a loving husband and father and cared for Nancy’s seven children as if they were his own.
He had a love for trains, tractors and chickens! Emil said he learned so much about chickens from his great granddaughter when they talked “Chicken Talk.”
Emil enjoyed going to any event that his grandchildren were involved in. Dancing, hockey, curling and baseball.
