Obituary of Faye Marie Graham

Forever Remembered-

September 20, 1955 - November 12, 2023

The family wishes to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, our dear Faye Marie Graham, after her courageous selfless battle, with PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy).

Faye Graham (McNeill) was the first born of infamous twisted twin sisters, in Virden, MB on September 20, 1955. Faye’s twin sister Fern Rose was born not far behind, and they truly had a special bond only twins will ever know.

Faysie grew up in Virden, Manitoba, where she met her lifelong partner and husband of 47 years, Edwin Wallace Graham in 1970. They were married on July 24th, 1976, and moved to Rockyford, Alberta for Ed’s Alberta Wheat Pool job. They had three children: Chad Edwin, Kenneth Dustin and Tara Lee. They lived in several places together, including Standard, Enchant, Bindloss, Brooks, and Oyen, settling in Hanna, Alberta. Faye was very fond of several people in the Hanna area.

Faye worked many types of jobs but found her calling being a Heath Care Aide, personal care attendant, and palliative care worker, as she loved to help people. Her love of cleaning and laundry, always known for her tidy house, led to her doing this for many years at the Hanna Lodge until her diagnosis of PSP. Faye was a cleaning fanatic, and that is an understatement! Faye loved her seniors like her own.

Faye had an amazing sense of humor. She enjoyed playing games, especially the game Dice with her family. Faye's laughter with family and friends was contagious, she was a fabulous cook, most known for her amazing carrot cake. Her priority was always her family and she made sure everyone felt special, and a card always meant the most to her! Faye wore her heart on her sleeve. She enjoyed her cigarette’s her entire journey! She was a strong, helpful, caring, funny, loving person whom everyone will greatly miss.

Faye was blessed to be able to stay home the majority of her last years with her loving husband and family caring for her till her final breath. Faye passed away peacefully through the MAID program with family at her side on November 12, 2023, at the hospital in Hanna, Alberta. Faye suffered for 5 years with PSP to which there is no cure.

Predeceased by her mother Jean, father William, brother Kenneth and sister Linda.

She leaves to mourn her husband Ed, their three children and four grandchildren; son Chad (grandson Tyvan), son Dusty (partner Breanne, granddaughter Brinley, grandson Archer), daughter Tara (granddaughter Amina), her twin sister Fern (Barrie), sister-in-law Jean McNeill, brother-in-law Donnie Walker and all of her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, that she so greatly loved.

Rest in Peace Faye Marie Graham.

A celebration of life, to honour Faye, will be held at a later date, in the Spring of 2024.
