Obituary of Sylvia May Chidley

Sylvia passed away at Hanna Long Term Care on August 20, 2017 at the age of 94 years. Sylvia was born to Frank & Viola Kerner of Stanmore, Alberta, and attended school there. She was one of eight children. Welcoming her into heaven are her parents Frank & Viola, 4 brothers; Bill, Milard, Jim and Albert; 2 Sisters; Emma and Daisy May (Connie) and her loving husband Murl of 63 years. Murl passed away March 1, 2007. Sylvia was also predeceased by her brother-in-laws Arley Chidley, and Bill Chidley, Ed Barrows and sister-in-laws Hazel Chidley, and Gary Kerner. She is survived by her loving son Dallas and soulmate Norma Rehman; 2 grandchildren Barbara Ann Chidley of Rimbey and Wayne Andrew Chidley of Hanna; one sister Mary of Rocky Mountain House, and brother-in-law Bert of Alder Flats; sister-in-law Leoma Chidley of Hanna, and many other nieces, nephews and friends. After Murl passed, Sylvia moved into the Hanna Manor until Dec 2014, when she then moved into extended care as her dementia worsened but was content there until her passing. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday August 24, 2017, at the First United Church in Hanna. Interment took place following the service at the Hanna Cemetery.
