Obituary of Astrid Martha Jager

Astrid Martha (Jensen) Jager passed away suddenly on April 16, 2021 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, of 58 years; two daughters: Betty-Lou Hewitt (Steve); Denise Corbet (Cam); also left to mourn are 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Astrid was predeceased by an infant son.

Astrid was born on September 10, 1936, and was raised on a farm near Spruceview with her parents and ten siblings.

During her work as a Nurse’s Aid in Hanna, she met Bill and they married on June 16, 1962.

Together they built their family farm north east of Hanna where she worked alongside him for their married life.

She will always be remembered for the unconditional love given, the guaranteed hugs, and her sweet smile.

As per COVID 19 Restrictions, a Graveside Service will be held on April 21, 2021 for immediate family, only.
