Obituary of Lloyd Wilbert Strandberg

Lloyd Wilbert Strandberg, of Hanna, Alberta, passed away at the family farm on August 23, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Lloyd is survived by his loving spouse Leanne Hartling, of ten years; his daughter Shawna (Jamie) Major of Abbotsford, BC, and stepson Jayme (Cindy) Hartling of Selkirk, MB; three grandchildren; sister Muriel (Butch) Beach; nieces, nephews and cousins. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Inga and Stanley Strandberg; brother Ken Strandberg; and his first wife Sharon Strandberg. Lloyd was born in Hanna in 1948 and grew up on the family farm in the Netherby area. He attended school in Nertherby, and in Hanna. Lloyd later moved to Red Deer, Edson, and finally returned to reside in Hanna until his passing. Lloyd loved the farm and felt at peace there; and often referred to it as home. He passed away on the farm near his dream cabin. No service will be held at Lloyd’s request. If one so desire, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
