Obituary of Veronica Katherine Sehn

It is with great sadness that the family of Veronica Katherine Sehn (Lanz) announce her passing on August 18, 2020 at the age of 88. Veronica Sehn of Hanna, Alberta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Timothy; their son Lyle; father Erasmus Lanz, mother Katherine Lanz (Kurtz); brothers Frank, Balzer, Benjamin and Leo Lanz; and sister Magdalene Hasper. Veronica is fondly remembered by: Son, Keith (Susan), grandsons: Leif and Jared; daughter, Antionette (Ryan) Wecker, granddaughter’s: Amber (Danny) Marshall, and Melanie (Adam) Roth; son, Timothy (Debbie) Sehn; daughter, Paulette (Tim) Truman; grandson Lance Truman; daughter Katherine (Dean) Kohut and grandson Jefferey (Ashley), granddaughter Paige (Dan) Kohut-Roberge, grandson Tyler, and granddaughter Mackenzie. As well as great grandchildren: Ethan, Ryan, Cooper Marshall; Bennett, Gavin Roth; Jack Kohut; Weston, Mack Kohut-Roberge. Veronica was born June 27, 1932 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She grew up on a farm near Schuler, Alberta. When she was 13 or 14 the family moved to Medicine Hat. In her 20’s she met the love of her life Tim. They were married on February 27, 1954. Veronica loved music as much as Tim. On Sundays when they came home from church, Tim would play the guitar and they would sing songs all afternoon. Old time music was their favorite. Veronica’s pies and delicious meals were loved by all. Her passion was cooking, baking, and canning. Veronica’s kindness was loved by everyone who met her. She will be deeply missed by her beautiful family, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, 9:00 a.m. at St. George’s Cemetery, Hanna, Alberta.
