Obituary of Edna Agnes Preston

Edna Agnes Preston (nee Lemare) aged 94 years passed away on June 29, 2020 at Hanna, AB. Private funeral service will be held on July 10, 2020, with Pastor Collin Millang of the Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will occur at the Hanna Cemetery at a later date. Edna was born in Loverna Saskatchewan to Joseph and Elizabeth Lemare on May 13, 1926. After leaving home at a young age, Mom went on to own and operate several hotels and a store. After her marriage to Fred in 1970, Mom enjoyed years of farming and ranching in the Handhills. Her greatest legacy was her pride and joy in her ten kids. Edna is survived by her husband Fred and her children Lois (Eddie), Cecil (Maryanne), Grant, Pat (Brian),Deb (Jeff), Brenda (Brad), Joe (Glenna), Kathy (Marshall) and Cary (Kevin.) She has 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, Grandpa Ernst, her son Billy and daughter-in-law Lola.
