He made me feel like such a valued public servant and his humor, love of his animals, and zest for life truly were an inspiration. Sorry for the belated condolences, I only just was informed of this obituary site and wish to extend my deepest condolences to all who knew him.

Just went to visit Peter after long years this past Sunday, but visited his neighbour first to hear the sad news. I will always remember him traveling the back roads of AB rodeoing. Laughs, laughs, laughs. Broke down truck in Buck F--- no nowhere, rattle snakes at Writing on Stone, all your can eat beef ribs, Longview. What a journey in life. Laugh, laugh, laugh. I miss him! Glad we had a trip together.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Peter's passing. Peter was very proud of his family and often spoke of the accomplishments of his children and grand children. During my time at the industry association, WPC, I could always count on Peter for his wisdom and guidance. I will miss his friendship and conversation.
My heart goes out to the entire family.

We were shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Peter and we want to express our sincere condolences to his family. We first met Peter in the late 90's thru his involvement in the treated wood industry and over the years, it evolved into a great personal friendship. We will forever cherish the memories of the various times when we got together.

Canada's wood preservation industry has lost a long time friend and associate. As past president and member of the Board of Directors of Wood Preservation Canada, Peter was a major contributor to the success of the association.
Peter's common sense approach and great business acumen ensured that WPC always represented the best interests of the wood preservation industry. Peter will be truly missed.
Our sincere condolences go out to the family at this time of loss.
Martin Tauvette, Executive Director
